What Is the Popup Feature?
Captivation Hub lets you display a popup automatically when someone lands on your funnel or website page. This is a great way to capture attention right away — whether you want to promote an offer, collect an email, or share an important message.
You can choose from three trigger types and control the priority if multiple popups are set up on the same page.
Step 1 — Open the Funnel or Website Builder
In your Captivation Hub account, navigate to Funnels (or Websites). Open the funnel or website you want to edit, then click into the page where you'd like the popup to appear.
In the left panel of the page editor, look for the Popup option and click it to open the popup settings.
Step 2 — Configure the Popup Trigger
Once you've selected or created a popup for the page, you'll see a Trigger setting. This controls when the popup will appear to your visitor. There are three options:
- Delay — The popup shows after a set number of seconds. You'll specify how many seconds to wait before it appears.
- Exit Intent — The popup fires when the visitor moves their cursor toward leaving the page (typically toward the top of the browser window). This is great for capturing visitors who are about to bounce.
- None — The popup is not triggered automatically. This is useful if you want to control display timing through other means, or if you're setting it up but not yet ready to activate it.
Step 3 — Set Priority for Multiple Popups
If you have more than one popup on the same page using the same trigger type, Captivation Hub uses the Priority setting to decide which one shows first. A lower priority number means it will display before a higher one.
For example, if you have two popups both set to "Delay," the one with priority 1 will show before the one with priority 2.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I have multiple popups on the same page?
Yes — you can add more than one popup to a page. Use the Priority setting to control the order in which they appear when they share the same trigger type.
Does Exit Intent work on mobile devices?
Exit Intent is primarily designed for desktop browsers, since it relies on cursor movement. On mobile, this trigger may not behave the same way since there's no cursor to track.
What's the difference between setting the trigger to "None" vs. removing the popup?
Setting the trigger to "None" keeps the popup saved on your page without activating it. This is handy if you're building it out and want to come back to it later, or if you're using a custom trigger outside of the standard options. Removing the popup entirely deletes it from the page.
