Whether you accidentally deleted something or just need to tidy up your CRM, Captivation Hub makes it easy to remove opportunities and pipelines — and restore them when you need to. This guide walks you through both processes step by step.
Key Things to Know Before You Start
- Deleting an opportunity removes it from the active pipeline view but does not permanently erase it right away — it can be restored.
- Deleting a pipeline removes the pipeline and all associated opportunities. Restore is still possible via Audit Logs.
- Restored opportunities return to the pipeline and stage they were in when deleted.
- Bulk actions let you delete or restore multiple records at once, saving time on larger cleanups.
Part 1 — Deleting Opportunities
Option A: Delete a Single Opportunity
Go to Opportunities in the left menu. Your pipeline board will open.
Here's a quick look at how deleting a single opportunity works:
Click on the opportunity card you want to remove to open the detail view.
Click the Delete icon (trash can) in the top right of the opportunity panel. Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Option B: Bulk Delete Opportunities
To delete multiple opportunities at once, switch to the List view in Opportunities. Select the checkboxes next to the records you want to remove, then click Bulk Actions → Delete.
Part 2 — Restoring Opportunities
Option A: Restore via Bulk Actions (Recommended)
This is the quickest way to restore recently deleted opportunities. In the Opportunities section, switch to List view and look for the Deleted filter or tab.
Select the opportunities you want to restore, then click Bulk Actions → Restore.
Option B: Restore via Audit Logs
If you can't find the deleted opportunity through the list view, Audit Logs give you another path. Go to Settings → Audit Logs and filter by action type Delete and object type Opportunity.
Locate the record, click the restore option, and confirm.
Part 3 — Deleting Pipelines
Go to Opportunities → Settings → Pipelines. Find the pipeline you want to remove and click the Delete icon next to it.
A confirmation prompt will appear. Confirm to proceed. All opportunities in the pipeline will also be deleted.
Part 4 — Restoring Pipelines
Deleted pipelines can be recovered through Audit Logs. Go to Settings → Audit Logs and filter for Delete actions on Pipeline objects.
Find the pipeline entry and click Restore. The pipeline and its opportunities will return to their previous state.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I recover a permanently deleted opportunity?
Deleted opportunities can be restored through Bulk Actions or Audit Logs as long as the data hasn't been permanently purged. If you're unsure, check Audit Logs first.
What happens to opportunities when I delete a pipeline?
All opportunities in that pipeline are also deleted. You can restore the entire pipeline, including its opportunities, through Audit Logs.
Will restoring a pipeline bring back all the opportunities in it?
Yes. Restoring a pipeline from Audit Logs brings back the pipeline and the opportunities that were in it at the time of deletion.
Can I move opportunities to another pipeline before deleting?
Yes. Open each opportunity, change the pipeline to a different one, then delete the original pipeline once it's empty. This lets you preserve the opportunities while removing the pipeline.
Is there a time limit on restoring deleted records?
Captivation Hub retains deleted records for a period before permanent removal. If you need to restore something, do it as soon as possible after deletion. Check Audit Logs to confirm the record is still restorable.
