Opportunities in Captivation Hub represent potential sales or deals at various stages of your pipeline. Each opportunity tracks a lead or prospect — from first contact all the way to a closed deal — giving you a clear picture of where every potential customer is in your sales process.
What Is an Opportunity?
An opportunity is a record that represents a potential sale at any point in your pipeline. It stores the contact's information, the deal value, the current pipeline stage, and any notes or activity related to that prospect. Think of it as a file for each deal you're actively working.
Pipeline Integration
Opportunities live inside pipelines — a series of stages that map out your sales process. You can create pipelines that match how your business actually works, whether that's a simple two-step process or a multi-stage sales cycle. Each opportunity belongs to one pipeline and moves through its stages as the deal progresses.
Stage Progression
As you work a deal, you move the opportunity through pipeline stages to reflect where things stand. Typical stages might include Prospecting, Qualification, Proposal, and Negotiation — but you can name and organize stages however makes sense for your team.
Opportunity Status
Every opportunity has one of four statuses:
- Open — Actively being pursued. The deal is still in progress and hasn't been won, lost, or abandoned.
- Won — The deal closed successfully. The opportunity converted into a customer or sale.
- Lost — The deal didn't close. The prospect chose not to move forward or went with a competitor.
- Abandoned — The opportunity was disqualified or put on hold. It's no longer being actively pursued but hasn't been fully written off.
You can use these statuses to filter your pipeline view and report on how deals are moving through your process.
Data Management
Each opportunity stores key details that help you track and manage deals effectively:
- Contact name and information
- Deal value (monetary amount)
- Current pipeline and stage
- Assigned team member
- Custom fields specific to your business
- Notes and activity history
You can filter, sort, and search opportunities across your pipelines to find what you need quickly — whether you're reviewing your full pipeline in Kanban view or working through a filtered list.
