You can easily create invoices from within Captivation Hub. This article covers how to create, edit, add discounts, add taxes, and send your invoices.
Please Note: If you are using invoicing without Stripe Connect, you will need to manually record payments.
How to Create a New Invoice
- Go to the Payments tab and click on the Invoices tab.
- Click the New button to start creating a new invoice.
Note: Add global terms of service/notes by clicking the gear wheel icon next to the + New button.
How to Edit Your Invoice Info
Step 1: Edit the "From" info by clicking on the text — it will become editable.
Step 2: You can change the logo/image by clicking on it to open the media library.
Step 3: Add the client and edit the Invoice number, Issue date, and Due date.
Step 4: Click Add an Item to add products from your Products tab.
Step 5: Once you add the product, you can edit the price and quantity.
How to Add Taxes to Your Invoice
Step 1: Click on Tax Settings.
Step 2: Click Add Tax.
Step 3: Fill in the following fields:
- A. Add the name of the tax
- B. Add the rate in %
- C. Add a description or Tax ID number
How to Add a Discount to Your Invoice
You can add a discount by clicking the Add Discount icon on the invoice.
How to Send an Invoice
Step 1: Once your invoice is created, click the green Send button in the top right corner.
Step 2: You can send the invoice via email or text. Use the Advanced option to switch between live and test mode.
How to Check the Status of Your Invoices
Step 1: Go to the Invoices tab to see the list of invoices and their statuses.
Step 2: You can filter invoices by status and date range.
Invoices in the Transaction Tab
You can also find invoice-related transactions under Payments > Transactions to view successful or failed transactions and open invoices directly.
Note: The Transaction tab is only available in the new UI.
