In this article, we'll guide you through the process of utilizing the course migrator to import your courses from your Kajabi account. With the Kajabi Course Migrator feature, you can effortlessly transfer valuable content to your CRM. The import Wizard now allows you to import videos and not only text and images. Moreover, you will be able to see the status of the importing process.
You can follow the steps below to import your course from Kajabi.
Step 1: Navigate to the Membership Tab
Firstly, log in to your new platform and navigate to the membership section. Typically, this can be found under the 'Courses' tab.
Step 2: Create a New Course
Click on '+ Create Product' to initiate the creation of a new course. This step prepares the framework for importing your content.
Step 3: Import from Kajabi
Look for the option to import from Kajabi. Once located, click on it, and a dialogue box will appear prompting you to enter your Kajabi email address, password, and domain. Follow the next steps to get the details to create the new contact based on the email provided (#1) with the password (#2) and also to get the domain to enter in the course importer (#3).
Step 4: Locate Your Course in Kajabi
Switch to your Kajabi account and find the course you wish to migrate to. Take note of all the modules, lessons, and quizzes included in that course.
Important Considerations Before Importing:
Quiz Conversion: Remember that quizzes will be migrated as lessons and not as separate quizzes. You may need to delete them later in Highlevel if necessary.
Image Compatibility: Images embedded within text content in lesson materials may not be migrated. You might need to re-upload them if needed.
Theme Requirements: Ensure that the theme used for your course in Kajabi is a Premier theme. If not, customize it accordingly. Similarly, the theme used for the library page should be the Encore theme. Adjust as necessary.
Step 5: Capture Your Kajabi Domain
You'll need to capture your Kajabi domain to initiate the import process. This can be found in the settings section under site details. Your domain name will typically include ".kajabi" at the end.
An alternative method to obtain your domain name is by adding a contact as a learner or student. By viewing the contact details, you'll find the domain name embedded in the link sent to that contact.
Ensure you are creating a new contact within the platform you are importing from using the system-provided email ID. Make sure you are granting the offers as well.
- Once created, go back to the Course Importer screen and enter the password you used to create the account in the previous step.
- Add the learner domain in the domain field (the domain where you enter learner login credentials). This domain is found in Site details in Kajabi. Make sure you add https:// at the beginning of the domain and “login/” at the end of it.
- Click the "Import" button
Step 6: Initiate Import
Return to your new platform and enter your Kajabi domain (including https://) into the designated field. Click Import to commence the migration process. You should see a green status notice on the top right corner of the import wizard.
Step 7: Monitor Import Status
You can track the progress of the import by refreshing the status page. Once completed, your new course should be visible under the products section.
Note:
Kajabi Course Migrator now extends its functionality to include the copying of videos in addition to text and images.
- Products that get migrated will be in a processing status until all their associated videos are successfully copied.
- Upon the completion of video copying, the status will be updated to complete
