The Right Panel in Captivation Hub's Conversations tab keeps contact details, appointments, and opportunities right alongside every thread — so you can take action without switching screens. This guide covers what's in the panel and how to use it.
What Is the Right Panel?
The Right Panel (also called the Slim Panel) is a collapsible sidebar on the right side of the Conversations screen. It gives you quick access to three views you can switch between with a single click:
- Contact — view and edit contact details, tags, custom fields, and notes
- Appointments — see upcoming and past bookings tied to this contact
- Opportunity — view or update any active opportunities linked to the contact
You can expand or collapse the panel at any time — it stays out of your way when you don't need it and is one click away when you do.
Contact View
The Contact view shows you the full contact record without leaving the conversation. You can update the contact's name, phone, email, tags, and any custom fields, and save changes right from the panel.
Appointments View
Switch to the Appointments view to see all bookings associated with the contact. You can check upcoming appointments and review past ones without navigating to the Calendar module.
Opportunity View
The Opportunity view shows any active pipeline opportunities linked to the contact. You can see the pipeline stage, value, and status at a glance — and update the opportunity without leaving the conversation thread.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I collapse the Right Panel to get more screen space?
Yes. Click the collapse icon to hide the panel. It stays collapsed until you choose to expand it again.
Do changes I make in the Right Panel save to the contact record?
Yes. Any edits you make to contact details, tags, or custom fields in the panel are saved directly to the contact record.
Can I create a new appointment or opportunity from the Right Panel?
The panel is primarily for viewing and editing existing records. For creating new appointments or opportunities, use the Calendar or Opportunities modules.
