Folders in Agent Studio give you a clean, organized way to manage growing libraries of AI agents inside Captivation Hub. Whether you build agents for different clients, departments, or workflows, folder management keeps everything tidy, searchable, and easy to act on in bulk.
What Is Folder Management in Agent Studio?
Folder management is the system that lets you group, sort, and organize AI agents inside the Captivation Hub Agent Studio. As your agent library grows, folders make it simple to keep things structured by purpose, team, project, or any other grouping that makes sense for your workflow.
Key Benefits
- Organize agents at scale — group related agents together so nothing gets lost in a crowded list.
- Search and filter quickly — jump straight to the agent you need without scrolling through everything.
- Manage in bulk — select multiple agents and move, archive, or delete them with a single action.
- Maintain a tidy workspace — keep your Agent Studio layout consistent across teams and use cases.
How Folder Organization Works
Inside Agent Studio you can create folders, drop agents into them, sort by various criteria, and use bulk actions to manage groups of agents at once. The system supports nesting, renaming, and quick navigation so you can shape the structure to fit how your team actually works.
Step 1 — Set Up Folder Management
Getting started takes just a few clicks. Head into Agent Studio, locate the folder controls in the agent list, and you’re ready to start grouping your agents.
Create a New Folder
Click the New Folder button at the top of the agent list. Give it a clear name that reflects what will live inside — for example, “Client Onboarding” or “Sales Qualifiers.” Once created, you can drag and drop agents into the folder, or assign agents during creation.
Sort and Group Agents
Use the sort controls to arrange agents alphabetically, by date created, by recent activity, or by any other available field. Sorting helps you spot the right agent fast, especially in folders with many entries.
Search Agents
The search bar at the top of Agent Studio searches across all folders. Type any part of an agent’s name and matching results appear instantly. This is the fastest way to find a specific agent when you can’t remember exactly where you filed it.
Bulk Actions
Select multiple agents using the checkboxes next to each entry, then choose an action from the bulk menu — move to a folder, archive, duplicate, or delete. Bulk actions are a real time-saver when you’re reorganizing or cleaning up older agents.
Three Dots Menu
Each agent and folder has a three-dots menu with quick options like rename, duplicate, move, archive, or delete. Use this menu when you only need to act on a single item rather than a whole selection.
Manage Folders
Right-click or use the folder’s three-dots menu to rename, recolor, reorganize, or remove folders. Empty folders can be deleted in one click; folders with content prompt you to confirm what should happen to the agents inside.
Adjust Page Size
If you have a large library, increase the page size at the bottom of the agent list to see more entries at once. This reduces clicking through pages while you sort or organize.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I nest folders inside other folders?
Yes — folders support nesting, so you can build a hierarchy that mirrors how your team thinks about agents (for example, Client → Project → Workflow Type).
What happens to agents when I delete a folder?
If a folder contains agents, Captivation Hub will ask you what to do before removing it — you can either move the agents to another folder or delete them along with the folder. Empty folders are removed immediately.
Can I move agents between folders?
Absolutely. You can drag and drop agents between folders, or use bulk actions to move many agents at once. Moves happen instantly and don’t affect the agent’s configuration.
Is there a limit to how many folders I can create?
There’s no practical limit. Create as many folders and subfolders as you need to keep your Agent Studio organized.
Do bulk actions work across folders?
Yes — you can search across all folders, select agents from the results, and apply a bulk action without leaving the search view.
