What Are Blogs in Captivation Hub?
Blogs in Captivation Hub is a built-in publishing system for writing and organizing articles on your websites or funnels. It lets you manage authors, categories, SEO, and design in one place, so you can publish consistently and send traffic exactly where you want it.

How to Create a Blog in Captivation Hub
If this is your first time setting up a blog inside Captivation Hub, follow the steps below in order.
Step 1 - Create Your Blog Site (the container)
- Go to Funnels.
- Click on Blogs.
- Click Create Blog. You can build it from scratch or start from a template.
Step 2 - Add Your Blog Site Details
- Add your Blog Site Title. This is what appears in the browser tab and in search results.
- Select or Add/Edit your Domain. This is optional during setup. You can connect a domain later inside Blog Settings.
- Add your Slug.
- Add a Blog Meta Description. Optional but recommended for SEO.
Tip on domains: You can connect a domain at the time you create the blog or anytime after from Blog Settings. If you ever need to switch domains, use Remove Domain in Blog Settings first, then connect the new one.
Step 3 - Create Your First Blog Post
- Go to Funnels → Blogs.
- Click on the Blog Site you just created (or any existing blog site you want to add a post to).
- Click New Post.
- Choose + New Post to start from scratch. You can also Import Blog Posts from URL or Import Blog Posts from CSV.
Step 4 - Fill in Your Blog Post Details
Once you've finished writing and formatting your post in the editor, click Continue, then complete the following:
- Add the Blog Post URL Slug.
- Select or create a Category and Author.
- Edit the Canonical Link or leave it as is.
- Add Keywords.
Step 5 - Add Your SEO Details
- Add an SEO Title.
- Add a Post Description.
- Add a Cover Image and matching Alt Text.
Step 6 - Publish Your Blog Post
- Keep the post in Draft if you want to make more edits later.
- Publish the post right away, or Schedule it for a future date.
How to Update a Published or Draft Blog Post
- Open the blog post and click the three dots beside the post.
- Click Update Post.
- Make your edits in the editor.
- To change post details like author, category, slug, or SEO info, click the Update Settings button.
- Make your updates and click Publish.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How does the domain work for blog posts?
The domain you connect to your blog site is used for all posts inside that site. Coming soon, you'll also be able to create a funnel or website page based on a Category filter, with its own slug and SEO details.
Q: Are author, category, and keywords optional?
URL slug, category, author, title, and post description are all required fields. Keywords are recommended for SEO.
Q: Can I use custom values inside a blog post?
No. Custom Values aren't supported in blog posts at this time. Tags like {{contact.name}} or {{custom_values.xyz}} won't render.
Q: Can I add forms, surveys, or custom code to a blog post?
Forms and surveys can't be added to blog posts right now. Custom code support is on the way.
Q: What's the recommended image size for a blog post?
There isn't a strict recommended size, but the page width inside the blog post editor is 736 px, so plan your images accordingly.
